This Saturday, June 19th, Dr. Novy is coming at 11am to tell us all about his Shasta-area ranch and the grass-fed beef he sells.

Novy Ranches’ is quickly gaining notice locally and is already supplying area restaurants that are concerned about quality and sustainability, such as Ladyface Alehouse and Brasserie in Agoura. We will have the opportunity to buy directly from the ranch by placing a group order.

The nutritional benefits of returning to grass-fed meats are powerful and amazing. Many studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between the cow’s diet and the nutritional value of the meat to the consumer:

Local veterinarian Lowell L Novy, DVM and family own Novy Ranches. Dr. Novy’s interests in conservation, cattle-ranching, and animal welfare have informed his decision to turn away from “traditional” feedlot cattle production by developing an entirely grass-fed program that is healthy for the land, cows and people.
