Why CFTO
From its beginning in 2006, CFTO has always been a place where “ordinary people get extraordinarily fit.” Here, everyone from athletes and firemen to office workers and stay-at-home moms get leaner, stronger and more energetic in a matter of weeks.
But CFTO is more than the Conejo Valley’s leading CrossFit gym – it’s a community of people just like you who work hard together, support each other, and have fun getting fit. Here are some additional things to keep in mind about CrossFit Thousand Oaks:
It’s easy to get started. . .
We offer a free Intro Session and an affordable Introductory On-Ramp Package. The Package includes 3 CrossFit Introductory On-Ramp Classes where you’ll learn the fundamentals of CrossFit, plus 2 weeks of unlimited regular classes – all for only $75. That’s a $100 savings off the regular rate!
. . .And we understand CrossFit is not for everyone
By the end of your 3 On-Ramp Classes and your 2 weeks, you’ll likely be looking better and feeling better, and you’ll know if CrossFit is right for you. If you want to join, we’ll welcome you to our vibrant and exciting community of people seeking genuine fitness. If CFTO is not for you, we’ll wish you the best and hope you find a fitness program that you love.
It works, because we make it YOUR fitness program
We customize your workouts to your current fitness level and your personal goals. And because we know these will gradually change over time, we regularly offer the opportunity (for free) to meet with your coach, re-assess your fitness level, and set new goals.
One simple membership plan – Unlimited!
We believe this plan encourages you to come more often and get more benefit from the CrossFit program. If we were to limit the number of visits each week or charge separately for each class, it would only discourage you from coming more often, stifling progress and punishing you for becoming more fit. At CFTO, you will get more fit, and you’ll be able to come more often as you get fitter – without taking a hit to the wallet.
No contracts
Our members remain members because we deliver results. No one is trapped by a long-term contract. Without contracts, we as coaches and business owners are pushed to constantly improve and consistently exceed your expectations. The burden is on us to provide a good community, a good program, and good coaching – and to deliver results. We do exactly that. Just ask our members during your free 2-Week Trial.
Our Community
The CFTO community works hard, plays hard, and supports each other along the way. We organize events where we get together and enjoy our fitness – such as hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and more. We also hold events to help keep you on track with your exercise program – such as workshops on injury prevention, self-care and massage therapy. In addition, we’ll lead and support your effort to eat right – we host seminars on grass-fed beef, community-supported agriculture and the Paleo diet, and we top it all of with frequent potlucks and dinner-and-a movie nights – right in our own gym!
On a purely social level, our CFTO Ladies and CFTO Guys groups get together on their own as well, just to enjoy a movie, wine-tasting or other shenanigans as they come up.
We’re professional
Our five-member coaching staff are all CrossFit-certified, and many have additional years of experience in martial arts, Olympic lifting, yoga and related sports. We have a full-time Head Coach in the gym every day, overseeing the program and ensuring consistency and quality.
Lots of class times
Our class times are set by our members. We regularly survey our members to see if new or different class times are needed. We offer as wide a variety of class times as possible, so you can always get a workout in, no matter how varied your schedule is.
We’re conveniently located
There’s lots of parking in front, back and on the streets. We’re right off the 101 and 23 freeways, with three exits just a few blocks from CFTO:
- Moorpark Road exit from the 101 south
- Rancho Road exit from the 101 north
- Hillcrest/Thousand Oaks Blvd exit from the 23 south
