My interest in Crossfit was born from boredom of traditional weightlifting and escape from the mental fatigue of planning my own workouts after creating workout plans for my personal training clients. At the end of a long day of training, I just wanted someone else to take the reins and tell me what to do. I had a small introduction to some oly lifting and enjoyed throwing the barbell around, so I figured Crossfit was the perfect place to scratch that itch.
Crossfit offers a constant challenge, and keeps me striving to get stronger, faster, better in any way. It's not just the workouts, but the community as well. There's something special in working through a grueling workout next to your friends, cheering them on, and hearing them cheer you on in your toughest moments. It is that comradery that pushed me to become a coach. I love watching others hit a goal they've been after and I love to celebrate those goals being met. Whether it's PR'ing a lift or finally mastering a difficult movement, I love the energy that a Crossfit community gives to those accomplishments.
I firmly believe that Crossfit can be for everyone and even got my mom to start at 70 years old. It's never too late to start your fitness journey!
